My Work with Oils

In our semi-tropical climate with most buildings climate-controlled, it’s best to paint with oil outside.
That protects the painter from noxious fumes but also attracts insects!

Though I began painting in oil (as it covers “mistakes”) and still am attracted to it’s textural effects, certain subjects seem to dictate their medium. Oil provides a control and effect that is quite different from water media.
